About GenerateMyInvoice
A free invoice generator and a library of practical guides for freelancers and small businesses.
What this site is
GenerateMyInvoice is a free tool for making invoices, quotes, estimates, receipts, proforma invoices and credit notes, plus a set of guides on the parts of invoicing that trip people up: payment terms, numbering, tax, and getting paid when a client goes quiet.
It's built for people who send a handful of invoices a month and don't want to sign up for accounting software to do it: freelancers, contractors, tutors, cleaners, photographers, consultants and small shops.
Who runs it
The site is run by Hafiz. Hafiz runs GenerateMyInvoice and writes its guides on invoicing, payment terms and getting paid on time. You can reach us any time through the contact page.
Why it's free, and how the site pays for itself
The generator runs entirely in your browser, so it costs very little to operate: there are no servers storing invoices and no accounts to manage. The site is funded by advertising on the guide pages (Google AdSense). We don't sell data, and we don't have any data about your invoices to sell.
How the guides are written
- Every guide answers one question and tries to answer it early, without padding.
- Facts that change (tax thresholds, interest rates, legal deadlines) are checked against official sources such as HMRC, GOV.UK and the IRS, and linked where it helps.
- Guides show the date they were published and last updated.
- Guides are general information, not personal tax, legal or financial advice. Where the stakes are high, we say so and suggest talking to an accountant or lawyer.
