Privacy policy

This policy explains what information GenerateMyInvoice (“we”, “us”) collects when you use generatemyinvoice.com, and what we do with it. The short version: the invoices you create never leave your device, and we use cookies from Google for advertising and, optionally, analytics.

1. Invoices and anything you type into the generator

The invoice generator runs entirely in your web browser. Business details, client details, line items, logos and the PDFs you create are processed on your device. They are not sent to or stored on our servers.

To save your progress, the generator stores your current invoice in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device until you clear it (for example by clearing your browser's site data). We cannot see it, access it or recover it.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when pages are requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working and are kept for a limited period.

3. Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

4. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited and approximate location, and does not receive the contents of your invoices. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply. We don't add you to a mailing list.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. 7. Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA).

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
